Business Intelligence Delivered Via SaaS
Business intelligence productivity software are of used predominantly by medium to large enterprises as it has been as too costly or complex to implement & maintain at SMB level. Current method of delivery in BI is one is to one. One Vendor delivering BI product it to one client in current scenario where as in SaaS is one to many where in one vendor delivering BI product to many clients. It is believed this method of access can help companies lower costs, speed deployments and broaden usage of BI.
Typically when you understand on premise BI v/s on demand BI major differentiating factor is the setup time & cost, rest in terms of productivity derived out from both the BI delivery models would be nearly the same.
The SaaS model in BI is the wave of the future for small to medium size businesses that do not have large IT budgets and cannot afford to pay the high price of on premise analytic reporting tools.
