Business Intelligence Quotient 2009
The Business Intelligence (BI) landscape has seen high demand in the last couple of years, with the large enterprise vendors, acquiring smaller BI players, BI being on top in CIO’s Priority List for 3rd year in a row—all this highlighting the important role that BI is playing in the strategic planning and performance management for enterprises. In the backdrop of such developments, Express Group’s Technology Senate 7.0 (Phuket, August 20-23, 2009) sessions shall include a series of quizzes on BI, many CIOs expressing a lot of enthusiasm about the event held in Dubai.
BIQ 2008, was a stimulating experience and a brainstorming session for the CIOs thinking on their toes to get the right answers. Business Intelligence Quotient 2008 at Technology Senate 6.0, Dubai last year was a huge success.
This time too, we thought of doing quiz in the same format at Phuket, Thailand. We are organizing a Business Intelligence Quiz named ‘Business Intelligence Quotient 2009 – Quiz Your BI Intellect at the Technology Senate 7.0 which is happening in Dubai with around 150 CIOs.
Regarding the format of the quiz there will not be much of change except for the written elimination round wherein instead of 10 questions, we shall give crossword to solve at the start for all CIOs. Crossword shall contain more than 24 questions comprising of both across and down clues and lot of anagrams. Out of crossword highest scorers, 5 CIOs will then be invited for 3 rounds of live quiz questions from whom the winners will be selected. The 1st & 2nd round of live quiz will be common for all 5 participants. 1st round shall have one question each of 5 participants. 2nd round shall be match the 5 faces of the CIO’s against their names. Whereas 3rd round with 7 audio visual questions shall be a buzzer round which may change the course of the game.
The quiz will consist of questions from business intelligence, data warehousing and related technologies including corporate, personalities, brands, markets, etc. We have also included few questions related to MAIA Intelligence, 1KEY which will be asked from the reading material shared to all CIOs at the start of the day 1. This quiz would be before the lunch break every day.
The aim of BIQ is to bring together sharpest CIO minds. It will be a battleground for sharpest, fastest & most knowledgeable CIO minds. Besides this, quiz will also be a test of knowledge in BI /DW space, speed of response in highly competitive and entertaining format with attractive prizes. The Quiz aims to highlight the importance of Business Intelligence in an enterprise among CIO community and to elicit awareness on its importance of BI at operational level for bottom of the pyramid besides top ‘C’ level. CIO’s will be judged on accuracy and speed of the response.
It will be exciting, knowledgeable, inspiring and most important well created questions which will enthrall CIO participants. The level of interactivity and intellectual exchange of information with CIO on Business Intelligence Subject matter will be of a great interest.
This exclusive quiz for CIOs will take place across three days on 20th, 21st & 22nd August 2009. On all the three days, three prizes would be declared for winning, first runner up and second runner up CIOs. Apart from above prizes there are several other prizes for the audience every day.
I am sure this year too; it would be a stimulating experience and a brainstorming session for the CIOs which shall keep them thinking on their toes, even as the audience shall wait with baited breath to see who among their CIO friends would finally emerge as the winner.
